Robert started his career in financial services in 1992 as a junior analyst for a boutique portfolio management company in Cape Town. From there, he moved to the corporate sector to further his studies and develop his skills and network in investment management and holistic financial planning for high net worth clients.
In 1997 he co-founded Alchemy Financial Solutions arising from his philosophy in building an Independent and Dynamic Private Wealth Management practice. Robert has systematically and organically developed the Alchemy practice over the past 25 years, which is now renowned in the industry for their innovative financial planning systems, absolute independence and unique business structure.
Robert continues to manage and develop Alchemy and is a director of the practice. He concurrently provides investment planning and management for a select number of high net worth private clients, locally and offshore.
Robert holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from the University of Cape Town and a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning from the University of Free State. Robert is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®).
Craig began his career in Cape Town in 1991 at Moores Rowland (formerly Baker Musikanth). After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant he left to work in financial leadership roles in the mining and retail sectors. He returned to the firm in 2000 and practiced as a consulting and audit partner. Moores Rowland merged in 2007 with Mazars, a leading international audit, tax and advisory firm. Craig’s ultimate position before leaving Mazars in 2010 was as managing partner of the Cape Town office and national board member responsible for talent.
Since leaving public practice Craig has held executive and non-executive corporate board positions in various sectors, including property, agricultural processing, healthcare and commercial education. He currently serves as a non-executive director of JSE-listed Bowler Metcalf Ltd.
Craig is passionate about financial literacy education and the impact it can make on people’s lives. He is the commercial director of Wealthvox, a global financial literacy innovator and publisher of the acclaimed Colour Accounting Learning System.
In his work with family offices Craig draws on his wide experience in a breadth of disciplines, as well as his love of working with people. As an independent trustee he guides and supports families as they navigate the ever-increasing complexities of inter-generational financial succession. He works with a select global group of high-net-worth families.
Craig holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of Cape Town, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Tax Law. Craig is a Chartered Accountant (South Africa).
Victoria is the managing director for the Morningstar South African investment management group. She is responsible for leading the business and leveraging Morningstar’s global investment capabilities to provide best-practice investment management for clients.
Her career at Morningstar began with the formation of the South African Investment Management business in February 2015 where she was a senior portfolio manager. She was responsible for leading the South African investment team and building portfolios to deliver better investment outcomes to Morningstar clients.
Before joining Morningstar, Victoria was the founder and CEO of Trivium Capital (Pty) Ltd, an investment consulting and research firm in Cape Town. As well as driving strategy for the business, Victoria was a senior portfolio manager at Trivium Capital. Her role included investment research, portfolio construction and ongoing portfolio management.
Before founding Trivium, Victoria gained extensive experience in fund analysis and quantitative research experience at Investec Asset Management where she worked in the retail fund management team. Prior to that, she worked for Investec Private Bank as part of their growth and acquisition finance team.
Victoria began her career at Standard Corporate and Merchant Bank and has 22 years’ experience in the financial services industry. She holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Cape Town.
Debra is a director and portfolio specialist at Morningstar Investment Management South Africa, and is responsible for the institutional business relationships and portfolio management within the South African business. Debra works closely with the Morningstar global investment team to bring best practice investment ideas to the South African business and its clients.
Prior to joining Morningstar, she spent four years at PSG Asset Management as a senior fund specialist, predominantly responsible for growing the business in the greater Gauteng region. She started her career at Standard Bank, fulfilling various roles including a financial analyst within personal markets and financial manager of unsecured lending products. She later moved across the business to Corporate and Investment Banking and spent three and a half years as a product controller for the interest rate trading and structured derivatives desks. Debra has been involved as a lecturer for MBA students at Milpark Business School. She holds a BCom, with a major in investment management, and a BCom (Hons) in financial management from the University of Pretoria. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) and has 14 years’ experience in the financial services industry.
Sean is the Head of Investments at Morningstar Investment Management South Africa. He joined the business in July 2021. He is responsible for Morningstar South Africa’s domestic and global portfolios and oversees the firm’s entire investment capability and strategy. While based in the Cape Town office, he is part of the Global Investment team and is responsible for bringing best practice investment ideas to the South African business and its clients. Sean oversees a team of four investment team members in the South African office. Sean began his career at the FirstRand Group in 2003 where he was responsible for credit research on unlisted companies. In 2008, he moved to a specialised lending and leveraged finance division within the group. In 2011 he was contracted to the investment management business of ABSA Wealth where he was responsible for the structuring of private debt transactions.
Sean joined Regarding Capital Management in 2012 as a credit analyst and portfolio manager with a focus on researching global fixed income. In 2016 he worked as an investment analyst at Sanlam Investment Management before co-founding Perspective Investment Management in 2017 where he served as an executive director and fund manager. Before joining Morningstar, Sean worked with the University of Cape Town for a year, managing Impact and Private Equity investments across the Health Sciences, Biotechnology and Education sectors.
Sean obtained his PhD from UCT in 2023 researching fundamental investment strategies across global bond and equity markets. He also holds undergraduate degrees in Economics and Information Systems as well as postgraduate Finance Honours and Masters’ degrees from UCT. Sean has over 19 years’ experience in the financial services industry.

He was a member for 8 years of the ASISA sub-committee responsible for the fund classification standard for Collective Investment Schemes (CIS) and also worked on technical committees responsible for TER and Performance fees. Johan gained a wide range of experience in his working career.
